This new health center exists because people saw an overwhelming need for care close to home — and chose to act. Our board and leadership circle stepped up with a vision for an Up Valley community where everyone can access primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare. When $12 million was needed to give this community the state-of-the-art health center it deserves, our donors stepped up. When we needed your voices, our patients, staff, donors, and friends stepped up and were heard loud and clear. Now, it's our turn.

The Need Up Valley
Why this project matters
By the numbers, annually

of all Up Valley residents rely on CommuniCare+OLE for their primary care.
21%
of our patients are uninsured, and 27% are children.
74%
of our patients have an annual household income of less than $31,000 for a family of four.
Our current Calistoga Health Center is severely outdated, with just two exam rooms and no break or meeting spaces for staff.
We're used to bumping into things in exam rooms. I don't even think about it anymore. I'm used to telling patients, sorry, I'm gonna have to lean over you.
The outcome
Together, we are:
Increasing Access
- Up to 3,000 additional behavioral health visits annually
- Quadruple availability of dental care services
- Enhance facilities for dental, perinatal, and behavioral health services
Providing Whole-Person Care
- 2.5x increase in access to primary care for pediatric and adult patients
- Integrated services including nutrition, lab work, and specialized procedures
- Continue our comprehensive care model by providing space for care coordination, enrollment, and enhanced care management
Building a Stronger Community
- Co-located services beyond clinic walls
- Continued sports physicals for student athletes
- Increased collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs
- Healthy food distribution to those in need
